It’s Been a Long Time — Too Long

In twenty days, it will be a year since I’ve written anything here. In a way, not much has changed,  but at the same time, everything has. The world as we knew in has completely changed. If you’d have told me in March 2020 that I’d be in my living room over a year later working from home, I’d never have believed it.

In just over a week from now, most workers in New York City will return to their offices full-time after being away for a year and a half. I’ll be among them. It’s an odd mixture of relief, excitement, and trepidation — almost like the first day of school. Coincidentally, September 13 is also the day that children in New York City public schools will also go back to in-person classes. What will this fall bring? We’ll soon see.

Welcome back. It’s been a long time — too long.
